Net Zero Now: Lessons Learned from the Wilden Living Lab
January 18, 2024 (8:00 AM - 4:00 PM) (PST)
Description
Could net zero homes become a reality for everyone today? A transformative look into real-world data, provided by the Wilden Living Lab partners. Nine years ago, a group of public and private organizations embarked on a collaboration to advance sustainable residential construction. UBC Okanagan and Okanagan College joined forces with industry leaders FortisBC, AuthenTech Homes and the Wilden Group, developers of Kelowna’s largest master-planned community. Their common goal: identify the most cost-effective technologies for building energy-efficient, zero-emission homes. A data-driven approach, rooted in real-world, locally sourced applications. You will learn about the technologies tested, their efficiency and payback times.
